Meet the Owner

I have always had a love and passion for stationery since I was a young girl and I wanted to share my passion with the world. To create a stationery and apparel brand for women because it was hard to find stationery that catered to my culture and to moms.

I struggled with infertility for 3 years before I was able to have my daughter. Once I became a mom I struggled with the transition of motherhood and remember feeling so alone and feeling like a bad mom. I spiraled into a deep depression with postpartum and anxiety, I began going to therapy and learning the tools to heal. It was then that I realized I wanted to help other black mothers who also suffered in silence. I didn't want them to experience the hurt and pain I endured. So that is when I birthed Matriarch Magic.

Matriarch Magic is to show mothers that they are not alone, that there is a community of moms just like you, and that we cater to them and their needs. Often, many brands help the mom with the baby but we want to help the mom with herself. We know that in order to be a good mom you have to take care of yourself first which is why Matriarch Magic represents every mom everywhere.
